Sunday League double! grounds 490 & 491

As the weather was too bad for me to venture out on the Saturday,  I thought I'd get out on the Sunday. Thankfully  I finally ticked an ex Scottish 156 on way to the ground.  Done the train Sunderland to Heworth,  then bus to a short walk from the hub. On right of the driveway is the Northumbria Centre pitches, where i saw SAFC u18s win 5-1  v mags u18s , on the left, is Northern Area pitches , where Washington fc and reserves play, I'm hoping to tick that groud next month  !

A cracking end to end game, carpets ran out deserved winners.

Back to Heworth metro on bus.

Jarrow Murrays fc 2 v Ryhope fc 5 - Jill Scott Pitch - ground 491 - 23/03/25 

Got the metro to Brockley whins (Boldon Colliery station in old money) , about 10 minutes walk to the ground.  

The grass pitches had already been ticked many years ago, but the newly built 3G pitch was a winner. The game was a goal fest,  I managed to grab a pick of Ryhope's goals, which was a screamer !
