Northbank Carlisle 0 v Ponteland United 2 - 25/03/17 - ground #436 - Sheepmount Stadium

after my dinner break outside the castle, I made the short walk to the ground. The sun was getting hotter & temperatures were running high in this game, with crunchin tackles in the first 20 mins, as lowly northbank showed the were up for the fight against high 2nd top united, who just edged the game with a goal in each half. then it was a sainsburys tick for train cans & walked to station. I was tempted for a swifty in the pub next door, but that was full & noisy, with it Carlisle v Crewe  crowd & ususal Saturday afternoon drinkers. so I settled for a quiet cold cider in the station buffet before a nice farce free journey home, which included winner TPE 128, which was nice :)

Ponteland United 2 v North Shields Athletic 0 - 28/01/17 - ground #428 - Ponteland Leisure Centre

after nearly 3 months off due to skintness & annual heavy dose of manflu, it was back to the old routine journey of the X10 to tick off a northern alliance ground. got off at heworth, then after 30 mins or so on the metro arrived at ponteland airport. after a quick break, the bus wasnt due for over 20 mins to take me the short way into ponteland town centre, so I just walked, overtaken by the bus not far from the ground. paid £1 to get in (1st time I've had to pay into a game this season!) just before kick off. a goal in each half settled this game of not many clear chances.
after the game I bused it strait to eldon square for a 10 min connection onto the X10 back to stockton.
