West Auckland FC 0 v Jarrow FC 2 - 05/11/16 - ground #427 - The Pauline Charlton Sports Pavilion
After 5wks of heading northbound on the X10 & 2 skint Saturdays, I was finally back on the tracks! got 10.28 thornaby - bishop , then had slow walk down to sainsburys (the one in everybody's pics that visit Heritage Park), for my train cans for the way back (4x5% Cider for £1.80). after required pitstop, had 20 mins to wait for the Cockfield bus, so walked ahead a few stops passing West Aucklands old ground, arrived in Cockfield, which is the next village along from Evenwood, about 1, plenty time to walk down to the ground for the 1.30pm k.o of this Durham County Cup game & re-complete the Durham Alliance league. An early goal in both halfs were enough to see the Wearside league team through, tho West gave a good account of themselves (coming up from the Crook & District league from last season), & both sides hit the same bar. after the game, waited for the 15.38 bus back to bishop, which made the 16.24 train back to thornaby by almost 15 mins :)

West Auckland 4 v Middlestone Moor 2 - 30/01/16 - ground #403 - St Helens Recreation Ground
as Alston was once again a no-go area, my next nearest new ground was st helens rec. the ground is the next bus stop past bishop aucklands ground. Moors had an early 2-0 lead, but West ran out 4-2 winners. amongst the sunshine, was a 10-15 minute light snowfall in the 1st half, which was nothing compared to what Alston have had lately!
if a bus had come straight after the match, I would've caught the 15.25 train back to thornaby, but as it was, I missed it by a few mins, so til the 16.23 train, I decided to go in the Kings Head pub for a change (after a quick visit to asda), as I usually pop in the Station Inn before the train home on visits to bishop. Cider was slightly more expensive but the tunes were spot-on (Jam, Bowie etc) ! :)

Willington WMC 1 v West Auckland 3 - 14/11/15 - ground #396 - Rosedale Playing Field
after 3 Saturdays off with manflu, it was finally footy day again!! :)
an arriva day ticket was only required to tick off my 2nd Willington ground for this Auckland Charity Cup game. Both teams hit the metalwork & had good chances in a crackin 1st half, but in the 2nd West ran away with it. Next week, am off to Willington again next week for the big derby game, Wear Valley v Willington WMC :)
The big result of the day came at Tesco in Durham where I got a box of 20 strongbow for £4.66!! :D
