Sunderland Town End FC 6 v Hylton Sports Club 2 - 18/08/2018 - ground #467 - Thompson Park

My last "day out" was HSCs 19-0 win at Jarrow FC reserves back in April. A few skint months later & it was finally time to get back on the tracks again ! :)

after a qick visit to sainsburys for my ciders on train back, I headed to the station for the 12.46 to Sunnyland, where I got the metro to the SOL. an 8 min walk later, I arrived at Thompson Park for the 2pm k.o. HSC took the lead in the 3rd minute, but Town End (who started up with 9 of HSC's players when they started up pre-season) had a goal disallowed soon after but still ended up 3-1 at HT. it was 4-1 quickly after. Town End looked sharp & well up for it. a penalty made it 6-1 before the visitors had the last say. FT 6-2.  a few pints in spoons followed before 17.50 train back home.

next month I'm off to watch Jarrow FC reserves at their new ground, Monkton Stadium. to watch HSC again to complete the league :)

Jarrow FC Reserves 0 v Hylton Sports Club 19 - 21/04/18 - Ground #466 - Hedworthfield CA

my first explorer ticket of the year was required for a busy day of groundhopping, which was thankfully blessed with lovely weather !! :)
after ticking off South Shileds CC, it was off to the footy, where I would recomplete the Durham Alliance League. I expected a high score & it certainly was! Hylton started off the scoring with a penalty, then the floodgates opened. with the HT score at 11-0 & jarrow only had 10 men throughout, the ref decided that the 2nd half would only last 25 mins. Hylton added 8 more before the ref brung a finish to the 70 minute game. after the footy I made my way to Boldon CC for my 2nd cricket ground tick of the day :)
