after a day or so of rancid snow & freezing weather, my fingers were crossed for a local 3G to tick off, thankfully the Eston 3G was finally ticked ! St Marys haven't had a bad season so far, they also play their home games on 3G, so I thought this might've been a closer game. boro are currently stormin at the top of the league, and didn't look like slowing down today. 4 goals in each half, with a consolation for the visitors in the 2nd half, made sure boro won easily.

Stockton West End 4 v Wolviston 2 - 19/07/17 - ground #443 - North Shore Academy 3G

 

it's very rare I get to a midweek match, many due to lack of local grounds to do. Finally was time to do the 3G pitch at North Shore, having already done the grass pitch there twice! SWE took the lead with a crackin 25 yard shot. Wolvo equalised after a keeper fumble gifted an unmissable chance to the forward. not long after, the Wolvo full back gifted a SWE forward a goal with a sloppy pass across the box. SWE went in at HT 3-1 up, a cool finish by SWE & a brilliant Wolvo free kick finished off the scoring.

Billingham Town Reserves 1 v Redcar Town 0 - 03/09/16 - ground #418 - Bedford Terrace Reserves Pitch

a nice local new "ground", Billy Town res had the pitch behind Bedford Terrace stadium - cut , marked & new goals put in place just the day before this game!
what seemed like endless rain made this game a very tough & close encounter, which was always gonna be decided by 1 goal, or ET & pens !! Billy Town grabbed a deserved winner about 5 mins from time to settle this cup tie.

Redcar Town 4 v Middleton Rangers 3 - 04/10/14 - Ground #350 - Mo Molam Memorial Ground

my last required teesside league ground, after the summer's additions. A crackin game, Town could even afford a penalty miss (pic 4). I'd passed this ground a few times on the bus back from other places when it was mainly a TJFA ground.
Twice in pre-season I arrived at this ground only to find that the game had been cancelled!! 3rd time lucky then :)

Middleton Rangers 3 v Cargo Fleet AFC 0 - 23/08/14 - Ground #343 - Eastbourne Sports Complex

Newly added to the Teesside League Division 2, Middleton Rangers look set to do well this season.
The ground is about 10-15 mins walk from darlo station.
