Middlesbrough & Teesside Sports Academy v Boosbeck United (A-A) - 01/04/17 - ground #437 - Harcourt Road Playing Fields

everybody has a ground that they've wanted to do for a long time or seems to evade them time after time. this ground was mine! MTSA now occupy the old South Bank ground. After arriving by train from a very sunny Stockton, I was greeted by hailstones! they then turned into a light rain shower for about 30 minutes, by which time the 1st half was well under way. then the game suddenly brightened up, with a flash of lightening! then came big rolls of thunder & torrential rain. 10-15 mins later the heavy rain, thunder & lightening showed nowt in the way of stopping, so the ref took off the players & that was that. I made a quick beeline to the station, thankfully catching an early train, by the time I got off at thornaby, I was still soaked but the place was dry. then as I walked for the bus home (via sainsburys for the nights cider) a small shower of rain fell, but nowt as crazy as earlier! amazing how different weather can be just a few mile away ..

Lealholm 4 v Boosbeck United 1 - 28/03/15 - ground #372 - Lealholm Sports Field

finally had my long awaited trip to Lealholm !! weather was crap till dinner time, then the sun came out. I enjoyed pints of real cider pre-match & post-match in the lovely Board Inn pub :)
the game was a good one, Boosbeck lead 1-0 at HT but lealholm ran out 4-1 winners.

so that's the Eskdale & Cleveland league completed,  my 5th North East league completed in total - Wearside league, Northern league, Teesside league & Durham Alliance being the other 4 :)

unless I win the lotto, the rest of the season will be mainly tickin more Crook & Distrist league grounds off :)

Boosbeck United AFC 1 v Brooklyn FC 5 - 06/12/14 - Ground #359 - Wandhill Gardens

after last week's jaunt to Lakes United, I continued my quest to complete the Eskvale & Cleveland League.
This North Riding Challenge Cup 3rd Round tie helped me do this :)
hopefully, next week will be Brotton followed by Dormanstown. which will leave just the long bus trek down to Hinderwell & the pleasant train ride to Lealholm :)
