Pickering Town 4 v Thornaby 0 - 16/08/15 - ground #387 - Mill Lane Recreation Ground

I'd wanted to do this ground for a long time, but the only ways I cudda got here was either -
a) trains via NYMR
b) trains via york & malton then bus 25 mins to pickering
c) train to york then bus 1hr to pickering.
all expensive (especially a!) & time consuming. Thankfully, when I saw that Thornaby had pickering away in the FA Cup, I contacted the club to see if it was possible to join them for the trip, and they said yes! :)
I made my own way to the pick up point in Thornby & the bus left about 12.25 arriving at pickering about 1.50. so I had time to visit a nearby garage to use ATM then back to the ground for a couple of pints before the 3pm k.o :)
pickering were dominant, where nothing went right for Thornaby. Bus left about 5.55 arriving back about 7.10. a good day out, shame about the result.

Thornaby 1 v Boro Rangers 1 - 29/07/15 - ground #383 - Dormans Long United Athletic Club

my 1st of not many midweek games of theseason, was a rare local game at a new ground where I could use my weekly bus ticket to !
Rangers were reduced to 10 men in the 2nd half, Thornaby took the lead but were levelled in the last minute. Good tough game overall :)
