Scotland 4in8 rover 17/07/26 - 20/07/26

Started on the 07.31 Sunderland to Carlisle,  for the slightly delayed 09.50 Lumo to Sterling. We'll that was the plan, due to an electrics farce , it was terminated at Motherwell.  So had to do a 385 to Edinburgh then a hst up to Inverness. 

Arrived late and too shattered to have anything to eat.  Possibly a spoons breakfast int morning!

Day 2 of rover. 

3in7 Heart of England rover - 03/07/26 - 06/07/26

My 2nd rover of the year , azuma arrived 15 late into donny , so i missed connection onto 82 301 (my last required hull trains).  Nice consolation was the next train to Grantham was 91 106  !   Then a quick change onto winner 170 to Nottingham 

Check in at hotel was 3pm. So ticked spoons 270 enroute,  joesph else 

After a quick freshen up , went back to the station for the 15.41 to brum , which was a winner 170 

There i did a pair of 172s to Solihull 

Then 68 029 to moor st 

Then a winner back to notts 

Where i ticked spoons 271 , Lloyd's bar 

Then back to hotel. 

04/07/26 - day 2 of rover 

After a bit of shopping, did the 8.12 to Leicester 

Then a winner 170 108 to Nuneaton, which i almost to get a pic of 

Then ticked spoons 272 , felix holt 

Then had a mcds on way back to station where i did train to bedworth 

Then after tesco sid spoons 273 , bear and ragged staff 

Then train to Kenilworth 

Where i ticked spoons 274 , dictum of Kenilworth 

Then train to Leamington Spa 

And changed onto Banbury train 

Then ticked spoons 275 , the exchange 

After taking a pic of Banbury cross 

then did train into brum moor st 

Then train back to notts and headed to spoons 276 , roebuck inn 

 Then back to hotel to finish off the night 

06/07/ 26  -  day 3 of rover. 

Started on the 8.31 to derby , as there were no earlier trains to get me to brum for a decent time 

Nowt to do at derby to fill in the 40 mins wait for the brum train. Arrived in brum on time , then went to spoons 277 , briar rose 

Then off to snow hill station for the train to Solihull 

Then did train to Stourbridge junction 

Then the short riide up to Stourbridge town 

Where I ticked spoons 278 , chequers inn 

Then back for the little train back to the junction 

Then the train to Worcester 

Then ticked spoons 279 , the crown 

Then made way down to STBD for the afternoons entertainment 

3 bands for £5 was great  

1st up was extra burner playing their 1st gig 

Next up were bad sam , a duo with bags of energy. They had a drum machine but it worked well ! 

3rd and final were the brilliant Diaz Brothers,  basically the reason I did the jaunt to Worcester 

The lad on the merch stall was kind enough to take some pics for me standing on a stool ! 

Absolutely shattered,  i made my way to shrub hill station,  where i caught the train to brum and finally train back to notts.  Had a great 3 days round the Midlands, travel home in the morning. Can't wait to get home !

Then azuma to York 

Then TPE to ncl for train back home 

Cricket grounds 2026

20/06 - ground 80 - Ashington cc 2nd XI v Tynemouth cc 2nd XI 

Finally got to my 1st cricket game of the season . Also finally did the Northumberland line up to Ashington,  where i did some required shopping,  a relaxing pint in spoons , then off to cricket. The ground is actually next to the station which was nice.
