thankfully, I woke up way before my alarm went off, and noticed this early 10.45 k.o. so grabbed all my crap together & dashed out for the X10 to heworth and a short walk up to the leisure centre.
last time I arrived here the game was off, so I was glad it was on this time ! the home side dominated most of the game. the 2nd half produced 2 of the best goals. a free kick from outside of the area scored by stone trough, then a late consolation goal - a deft chip over the keeper, which was celebrated as if it had gained a point or win :)
after the game I walked back to heworth metro and made my way to benfield.

Fawdon FC 2 v Rutherford A 3 - 28/10/17 - ground #454 - Coxlodge Community Association

it was explorer ticket time for this day out. the ground is about 10 mins walk from 3 metro stations - regent centre, wansbeck road & fawdon. I opted to leap off at the rc, arriving at the ground about 1.15. fawdon took the lead, but rutherford went into HT 2-1 up. the equalizer was something special! a cleared ball landed to a rutherford player about 20 yards out who proceeded to play abit of keepy uppy before lacing a shot over the keepers head into the net!
I left during the 2nd half for a 10 mins walk upto fawdon metro to make my way to the west allotment celtic game :)

The Tavern Blyth 2 v Fawdon FC 3 - 11/03/17 - ground #432 - Crag Park

arrived in cram about 11.30, got me cans in at sainsburys while waiting for X9 to south beach, to connect with the X7 to take me to the top of seaton sluice. found the ground at the bottom end of the nice little village. weather was cold & drizzly but the game was good.  nice little venue, if the day had been more clear / sunny, the lighthouse behind the goal & the blyth coastline would've looked a lot better. as the game kicked off early (and the 308 was late) I saw some of the 2nd half from the bus stop. after the 308, it was about 15 mins walk to south newsham :)

University 2 v North Shields Athletic 0 - 24/09/16 - ground #422 - Cochrane Park

athletic had the best of the 1st half, but uni won a poor game, possibly spoilt due to the wind.

University 2 v Berkeley United 2

whilst nowt much was gannin on in the main game, the reserves game was much more entertaining :)

Heaton Hawks Seniors 3 v Stone Trough 5 - 24/09/16 - ground #421 - Manor Park Sports Ground

I'd hoped to watch uni res for my 1st match at longbenton, but they now play at cochrane park, as do the home team. So, thankfully, heaton hawks ground is round the corner from Cochrane park. so I enjoyed a goals there before goin to cp.
