Sutton utd 1 v Boston United 1 - VBS community Stadium - ground 511 - 27/09/25

After a mega farce of trains , I ended up missing the 1st half, which  is when BUFC scored a decent free kick by all accounts.  

Sutton edged the 2nd half and scored in 93rd minute to nab a point. 

A farce free journey back to base thankfully. 

Maidenhead united 3 v Boston United 0 - york road Stadium - ground 500 - 05/05/25

Thought I'd get the Maidenhead spoons out the way with first - spoons 237  - the bear  The 10.33 to marlow was cancelled,  as was the 11.33. GWR put on free taxis to marlow, where we met up with 3 coach loads of BUFC fans and more that travelled by train in the donkey. 

Thankfully trains were back on the go from marlow , so did the 13.59 back to maidenhead. 

Then did the short walk to the ground 

the home team led 1-0 at HT and finished off the game in the 2nd half including a clumsy conceded penalty. Thankfully the result didn't matter as BUFC beat the heed last Saturday to secure safety  :) 
After the game i made the short train ride by to Slough to spend my last night in hotel before heading home early tomorrow. 

Tuesday 6th -  did the Betty line to Paddington , where a quick toilet break was required. Then did Betty line to Farringdon for the Thames link unit to st Pancras and the 11.00 azuma back up north  :) 

Braintree town 0 v Boston United 1 - Cressing road - Ground 489 - 15/03/25

Arrived at Braintree at 11.51 , completing the branch line up from witham.  Found the spoons pub. Picture House Palace  -  spoons 226. :)

Then went to the sports bar where the BUFC fans were :) 

Got a cheeky lift to the ground on the BUFC supporters coach. :) 

There was a nice beer tent behind the visitors end. Which was nice!  I opted for the carling cider fruits.  

Great tribute to Prodigy dude Keith Flint in the away end too :) 

BUFC led at HT thanks to a well taken goal, which ended up as the winner in a massive national league game at the wrong end of the table ! 

Stopped off at the co-op on way back to train station. Got the 17.59 to Shenfield then onto  another 720 to Romford,  where I ticked the spoons before heading back to hotel.  (I took the pic on the morning as I knew it'd be dark by time I got back from match ) 

Boston United 3 v Braintree Town 1 - Jakemans Community Stadium - 23/11/24 - Ground 480

After my morning jaunt to skegg, I made my way from train to bus station for the coach shuttle to the stadium, which is a value £1.50 each way ! 

We made our way to Elllenders,  the club bar named after one their legend players, where I ticked a winner cider,  cold river,which was nice  :) 

Boston scored in the 1st min, to give their new manager Graham Coighlan a storming start, to match the weather! Then just before HT they made it 2-0, with a long range effort that bounced over the keeper and into the net!  

In the 2nd half , Boston went 3 up with a well drilled in shot. The Boston goals dried up but the weather didn't! 

Braintree made a scrap of it, grabbing a goal and had few goal mouth scrambles,  hitting the bar etc. FT  3-1, a deserved win.  I then did the shuttle back to town and went back to my digs for the night  :)

Marine 0 v Boston United 0 - Arriva Stadium - 24/04/10 - ground 177

A win would've saw BUFC Promoted automatically,  but instead had to do via the play offs,  which they did, which was nice  :) 

Nice weekend away by train, when stayed at the B&B opposite Anfield  !
