Evenwood Town 1 v Bowes 2 - 05/09/15 - ground #389 - Evenwood Welfare

What a pathetic farce at Bedale last saturday, both the cricket & footy games were called off due to the opposition (Blackhall CC & Harlow Hill) couldn't get a team together !!
Thankfully, my visit to Evenwood went smoothly.  Evenwood were a Northern League team in days gone by, and the Welfare ground had terraces & stands. Shame there's not much left of it. I still enjoyed my visit there tho :)
Me & the Mrs are more than likely movin to Sunderland soon, so Its my mission to do as many C&D league games as possible before the move :)

on to my 2nd game of the day, on the edge of the lovely village of Barnard Castle, County Durham :)
My Grandparents often used to take my to 'Barney' for a ride out during school holidays, these days I'd often wondered if I'd see a footy match there. I still need the Cricket ground there in the NYSD league, so thats another trek on the bus, but its worth it :)
