Shotton Comrades 1 v Easington Lane wmc 1 - Shotton Recreation Park - ground 497 - 20/04/25

Did a round trip as far as transport was concerned.  Started off on the 8.39 metro from SoL to Gateshead,  then X10 down to Peterlee for the 22 to Shotton Colliery. After a cracking end to end game with a decent crowd , I took the arse-knacking 22 all the way back to park lane for the metro back to SoL. 

One of the highlights was sky divers landing in a nearby field. The airfield is next to the ground, where private planes were taking off/landing. 

Was a pleasure to see this sign from the bus , almost home  ! 

Billingham The Station 2 v Shotton Comrades 1 - 17/09/17 - ground #449 - High Grange Park

for the 2nd weekend running, it was a footyless saturday followed by a sunday double. first up was a Durham Cup tie in Billingham. sunday buses aren't the best, but a half decent service from stockton - billy / boro does thankfully exist :)
it was a tough game, which 2 2nd half goals got them thru. Shotton almost grabbed a last minute goal, but the billy keeper put in a brave challenge on a 1 on 1 to keep out the visitors.so with no extra time, I had plenty time to make my way towards boro for my 2nd match :)
