Stockton West End Ladies 2 v Hartlepool United Ladies Reserves 0 - 16/04/17 (revisit- ground #301) - North Shore Academy

after all the rain and forecast, my fingers were crossed for this fixture to be played on the 3G pitch at the academy. but it wasn't. I ticked this ground off about 4yrs ago for a 5-0 SWE win against Billingham Intermediates in the Teesside league. still glad I turned up for this league cup semi final, as the game was a cracker!
in the first half SWE missed a penalty & cleared 2 off the line. 2nd half, SWE took the lead, a rasping shot from outside the box hit the bar and an easy finish from the rebound. Hartlepool played well but couldn't get an leveller. in the last minute, an SWE attacker chased after what looked like a lost cause, won the ball and set up a deserved 2nd. the other semi final between boldon & consett is yet to be played.
