Haltwhistle Jubilee 1 v Wallington fc 3 - The Burn - 02/11/24 - Ground 477

Started off on the 07.56 from sunnyland, using up the £10  northern rickets still,  changing trains up the road, arrived in Carlisle just after 10am,  had a little dodge down to workington to fill in the time, as no doable required 156s were put on the dumfries line. So did the 12.53 to Haltwhistle,  so I'd have plenty of time to tick off sainsburys (72) before finding the ground  :) 

The ground was easy to find from sainsburys,  and the 2.5 years wait since my last new ground was over ! 

The first half was everything grassroots footy should be, plenty of tackles ,  chances and both ends (including a flying save from the wallington keeper tonorevent an O.G)  and an offside disallowed goal for wallington,  no var  here lads !  Haltwhistle took the lead right on  HT ,  wallington carried on and finished 3-1 winners.  

I had to leave early due to my legs nearly giving way and in agony, not the type painkillers sort either ! Overall an enjoyable day out all round   :)
