Spoons Pubs Visited !!

Pre-match or Post-match, or just a day out, quite alot of people tick off Spoons pubs aswell as sports grounds and I'm one of them !
The main rule I follow, is that an alcoholic drink must be consumed, which I think is very fair due to it being a PUB tick :)
I compiled this list in this order thanks to the excellent page put together by John Adams, Cheers :)

Wetherby & hull trips - 23/01 & 29/01/25

After a winner 555 from SoL to central station,  I did 800 106 to York.  Was a crap day weather wise , but if i stayed in when it rained I'd never get out !  Then did 170 477 to harrogate,  which was 3rd tick of the day :)
Took a pic at harrogate
Then went over for the X70 bus to Wetherby. Where I ticked spoons 248 , angel inn  :)
After a nice half, it was back for X70 to harrogate
for the 15.42 train  back to York then 16.50 GC home , so it's onto hull trip
29/01/25
After some early shopping and mcds breakfast,  it was the 8.32 GC to York,  for  170 477 to hull for the 45 bus
Upto the university to tick spoons 249 sanctuary bar  :)
Then did bus back to interchange for 170 454 to brough 14.27 which was a winner.
Pictured on right with 453 on the left. For a dud unit back to hull, for 802 303 winner, but was paired with dud 304, to brough
for a swift drink
then train to York for GC home :)
30/01/25
As i required lots of shopping at Sainsbury's,  I decided to do the one at Northumberland park, which is next to the metro station
I also ticked off blue bell , spoons 250, which isn't too far from metro and Sainsbury's
There's also a new spoons opened up at annitsford, but I'm saving that for another day.

After an hour fester at York , I did 185 102 to malton on the 12.11 . My 2nd TPE winner of the day, it was also my last required 185. :)
I had a winner cider on board to celebrate!
After some required shopping next to malton station,  I did 118 back to York
After a swift vodka in station pub , did 802 217 back up to central station to complete TPE 802s. :)
Hopefully off to Hull next week to tick a spoons and more trains !

Viva Le X - Mess 2025 - Water Rats - 03/12/25

Started on the 12 30 GC from Sunderland for this little break away . Unfortunately the train was delayed by 79 minutes. I didn't get into hotel room untill 5.50.
Unfortunately the band I wanted to see , Diaz Brothers,  had to pull out the day before.
But was still a good gig, my first since may 2022 !
Janus Stark were excellent,  next up were Desperate Measures,  who were canny good.
Then was Crashed Out,  a Jarra band celebrating their 30th anniversary.  It must've been about 30 years since I saw them last !
Then finally Healthy Junkies,  who's soind system unfortunately wasn't very healthy!
I actually enjoyed the gig more than I thought I would!
I didn't have the energy to do anything yhe nect morning,  apart from getting sorted, a bit shopping and the delayed 11.27  GC home

A nice view of St Pancras was had from my hotel window.

Consett Blackfyne 5 v Sunderland West End reserves 2 - Consett leisure centre 4G - ground 521 - 15/11/25

A nice winner azuma to Durham after a dud metro from sol.  Then onto the X15 up to consett.  After some required shopping and walkabout,  I got to the leisure centre to see a game in progress.  If I'd known about the first game I'd of got there earlier.  After the end if that game it wasnt long before the Blackfyne game started
I watched what I could,  I exited for a call of nature,  then came back to watch more from the top of steps. Unfortunately I got the 47 back to metrocentre after the X45 disappeared!  It was a total arse and back knacking hour ride, never to be done again!  Think i may stay in tomorrow.
Thankfully the X66 back to Gateshead was quick and had a winner 555 back to the sol , which was nice :)

Shotton comms fc 0 v Hetton social rar 15 - wellfield school 3G - ground 520 - 09/11/25

Finally ticked Horden station off , then after Sainsbury's made the short walk along to Peterlee bus station,  where I caught X22 to wingate.
Another Sunday walkover by a visiting team. Another visit to this venue is required to tick the grass pitch, possibly next Saturday!
I had a change of scenery on the way back , X1 peterlee to Houghton for the 20 to sunnyland,  then metro home.
